The first-ever set of All-America teams released by D3soccer.com include two Calvin College soccer players. Calvin senior Carly Prins has been named to the D3soccer.com women’s All-America third team while junior Miles Colago has received third team All-America honors from D3soccer.com on the men’s side.The All-America teams were released this past weekend. A native of Hudsonville and a graduate of Unity Christian High School, Prins is receiving her second All-America citation of the year. Last month she was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III All-America third team. A native of Anoka, Minnesota, Colago is receiving All-America honors for the first time.

Ryan Bratt and Scott Hooker Named to NSCAA Scholar All-Region Team

Two members of the Calvin men’s soccer team have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-North/Central Region team. Named to the team from Calvin are seniors Ryan Bratt and Scott Hooker. The two players are the first members of the Calvin men’s soccer program to receive NSCAA Scholar All-Region honors. Both players also received ESPN Academic All-District IV honors earlier this fall.

As 2010 begins to wind down, take a moment to enjoy a four-minute highlight video put together earlier this fall by Calvin Media Relations Manager Matt Kucinski. The video captures action of Calvin athletics from the 2010 spring and fall sports seasons. Included in the highlights are clips from the 2010 NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the 2010 MIAA women’s tennis tournament and several other events from the fall and spring.
