NOTRE DAME, IN—For the fifth consecutive year and for the seventh time overall, the Calvin women’s swimming and diving team can call itself MIAA champions. The Knights wrapped up another league crown on Saturday night, finishing with a final three-day total of 849.5 points. Calvin finished 90 points ahead of runner-up Hope.

NOTRE DAME, IN—With one day of competition left, the Calvin women’s swimming and diving team maintains a healthy lead for first place at the MIAA Championships. Bidding for their fifth consecutive MIAA title, the Knights hold a 76-point lead over second place Hope heading into Saturday’s final day of competition.

NOTRE DAME, IN—The defending MIAA champion Calvin women’s swimming and diving team got of to a blazing start on day one of the MIAA Swimming and Diving Championships, building a first place score of 299.5 points. Calvin claimed first place in five events and established several Calvin and MIAA records in the process. In addition, the Knights recorded a number of NCAA III A’ and B’ cut qualifying performances. Saint Mary’s College is hosting the MIAA Championships at the Rolfs Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.

GRAND RAPIDS Ė The Calvin menís and womenís swimming and diving teams held their second-ever dual meets inside the Venema Aquatic Center on Saturday and came away with a split against Kalamazoo. On the womenís side, Calvin defeated Kalamazoo 195-100. On the menís side, Kalamazoo defeated Calvin 177-97.

ALMA—The Calvin men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams picked up dual meet victories at Alma on Saturday with the women’s team defeating the Alma women’s team 137-86 while the men’s team defeated the Alma men’s team 124-84.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI—The Calvin men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams completed an historic afternoon Saturday, hosting their first-ever dual meets inside the Venema Aquatic Center. Fittingly, the first competition was held against rival Hope with the Calvin women defeating the Hope women’s team 179-127 while the Calvin men were defeated by the Hope men’s team 171-95.
A standing room only crowd of more than 500 spectators was treated to a thrilling dual meet which began with opening remarks from Calvin president Dr. Gaylen Byker and the lead donor for the facility - Thelma Venema.

CHICAGO, IL—The Calvin women’s swimming and diving team closed out an impressive two days of competition at the University of Chicago Invitational, winning the meet with a team score of 1,251.83 points.

CHICAGO, IL—Calvin College senior Erica Deur added another chapter in her storied collegiate diving career on Friday night, shattering her own school record on the three-meter board with a score of 505.55 points at the University of Chicago invitational. A graduate of Holland Christian High School, Deur eclipsed her previous school record of 485.20 points in the event. Her point total on Friday night was also a University of Chicago pool record.

The Calvin men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were able to hold their first-ever practices inside the Venema Aquatic Center Wednesday afternoon.
