Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams Both Ranked Number Two

The Calvin men’s and women’s cross country teams are both ranked number-two in the most recent Division III Top-25 poll of the year. The Calvin women have moved up two spots from last week’s poll while the Calvin remain in the number-two spot. Cortland State of New York remains the top-ranked team in the men’s poll while Amherst (MA) remains the top-ranked teams in the women’s poll.

The Calvin men’s and women’s cross country teams both hold top-four positions in the most recent set of Division III rankings released by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Calvin women’s cross country team will head into the upcoming 2008 campaign with optimism. The Knights return an abundance of letterwinners including five of their top seven runners from a 2007 team that finished fourth nationally, captured a Great Lakes Regional title and claimed its third consecutive MIAA title including its 19th overall.
