ADRIAN Ė Pressed with a steep challenge by rival Hope, the Calvin menís and womenís track and field teams dug down to deliver first place performances at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Adrian College on Saturday. The Calvin women took first place with 1,016 points, 70.5 points ahead of Hope. On the menís side, Calvin edged Hope by just 6.5 points, winning with a team total of 856 points with Hope second with 849.50 points.

TERRE HAUTE, IN—The Calvin women’s track and field team made history on Friday afternoon as its distance medley relay team became the first-ever Calvin squad to earn All-America honors in indoor track and field.

Calvin College senior Lauren Bergstrom has been named the Division III Women’s Great Lakes Regional Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
The USTFCCCA selects the top track athlete, field athlete, and coach for the eight regions in Division III track and field.

ANDERSON, In—The Calvin men’s and women’s track and field teams made one last push to qualify individuals for the upcoming NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships by competing at the Fred Wilt Invitational hosted by Anderson University. The meet was scored and on the women’s side, Calvin took first place with 140 points. On the men’s side, Calvin took second with 108 points.

ALLENDALE Ė The second day of competition of the Grand Valley State Big Meet Invitational resulted in yet another NCAA III provisional qualifying time for the Calvin womenís track team as the distance medley unit of junior Liz Smit (Kirland, WA), junior Heather Koning (Kalamazoo Christian HS), sophomore Alison Tuuk (Grand Rapids Christian HS) and senior Lauren Bergstrom (Rochester, MN) posted an NCAA III indoor provisional qualifying time of 11:56.17 on Saturday, missing an automatic qualifying time by less than three seconds.« First < 21 22 23 24 >
