GRAND RAPIDS – The Knights picked up a pair of convincing wins over Kalamazoo and Baldwin-Wallace on the opening day of the Midwest Challenge, an annual cross-conference tournament co-hosted by Calvin and Hope.

GRAND RAPIDS—The Knights extended their win streak to 10 games by sweeping sixth-place Albion on Wednesday, storming past the Britons by scores of 25-21, 25-17 and 25-18.
Calvin is now 4-2 on their interim home court at Huizenga Tennis and Track Center, where the Knights have won their past three matches.

The Calvin women’s volleyball team will be participating in the nationwide rally on October 31 to raise support for breast cancer research and awareness. 
For the 7pm matches, all teams participating in the Midwest Invitational at Calvin will be wearing their special pink warm-up t-shirts to show their support for the cause (this includes Kalamazoo College, Baldwin-Wallace College, Hanover College, and Calvin).

She earned the honor after leading the Knights to two wins last week, including an upset of then-No. 12 Hope College.

GRAND RAPIDS— Carrying momentum from Friday’s upset win at Hope, Calvin rolled against Olivet in three games Tuesday night 25-13, 25-7 and 26-24. Calvin remains in second place in the MIAA standings with an 11-2 record and improves to 17-4 overall.
Volleyball Defeats Hope In Five-Set Thriller In Holland

HOLLAND—The Calvin women’s volleyball team has been a different team on the road this year. In home matches at the Huizenga Tennis and Track Center this fall, the Knights are just 2-2 but in matches on the road, Calvin is 13-2 including 5-0 in league play.
Calvin picked up its fifth MIAA road win of the season in scintillating fashion Friday night, defeating rival Hope in five sets by scores of 25-20, 23-25, 13-25, 25-13, 15-13. The match was played in front of an NCAA Division III regular season record crowd of 2,307 fans inside Hope’s DeVos Fieldhouse and matched a pair of nationally-ranked teams as Hope came in ranked 12th and Calvin 17th.

NOTRE DAME, IN – Calvin back into second place in the MIAA standings with a 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 conference victory at Saint Mary’s (14-8 overall, 7-6 MIAA) Tuesday night. Ranked 17th in the latest Division III Top 25 rankings, Calvin is now 15-4 overall and 9-2 in the MIAA. Alma is currently 9-3 in the league standings.

ADRIAN—Nearly two weeks after dropping a five-set match to Adrian at home, Calvin returned the favor, defeating the host Bulldogs 25-19, 25-16, 25-16 in front of an Adrian homecoming crowd Friday night at the Merillat Center.
Ranked 17th in the most recent AVCA Division III Top 25 poll, Calvin (14-4 overall, 8-2 MIAA) moves back into a tie for second place in the MIAA standings with Alma with Friday’s win.
