Men’s Tennis Advances to MIAA Tournament Finals - Will Face Kalamazoo

HOLLAND – For the second consecutive year, the Calvin men’s tennis team has advanced to the MIAA Tournament finals. The Knights advanced to the finals with a 5-0 first round win over Trine on Thursday and then defeated host Hope 5-4 in the semifinals.
Calvin (16-6) will face top-seeded Kalamazoo (14-8) in the MIAA Tournament Championship final at noon at Holland Christian High School. The winner will receive the MIAA’s automatic bid to next week’s NCAA III Tournament.
Calvin Baseball Doubleheader With Olivet Postponed For Thursday

The Calvin baseball doubleheader scheduled for Thursday has been postponed until Friday, May 1, because of rain. The doubleheader on Friday is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Olivet. The two teams will then play at Calvin on Saturday in a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Rain in West Michigan has also moved the MIAA Men’s and Women’s Tennis Tournaments indoors. Updated sites and times can be found on the MIAA website at:MIAA Website

Men’s Tennis Defeats Albion in Regular Season Finale

ALBION—Calvin closed out its MIAA regular season campaign with an 8-1 win at Albion Tuesday afternoon. The Knights are now 14-6 overall and conclude the MIAA regular season at 4-2. The Knights will be the third seed for the MIAA Tournament and will face sixth-seeded Trine in a first round MIAA Tournament match at 8:00 a.m. Hope will serve as host of this year’s MIAA Tournament with outdoor play scheduled to take place at Holland Christian High School.
