Calvin Cross Country Course

This course (men's 8K and women's 5K) is located one mile east of the main campus and borders East Paris Road on east side and Calvin’s Nature Preserve on the north. The Start and Finish are located on the Gainey Athletic Soccer Fields. The course features 10 meter wide paths cut through the Calvin property north and west of the Gainey Athletic Complex, wide sweeping turns, a long straight away parallel to the service road, beautiful tree-lined trails, a brief segment that runs through the Gainey Baseball fields and a finish just west of the start near the soccer stadium bleachers. The elevation gains are smooth and gradual except for one steep up and down (run twice) on the north side of the course. The course crosses the service road 4 times for the women's race and 6 times for the men's race. Other footing is very good (for two-year growth). All miles and kilometers are marked.

Parking Information

Teams and officials are welcome to park in the small Gainey parking lot. However, buses should park parallel to the course along the service road west of the tennis courts and not in the Gainey lot. Fans and spectators must park in the Prince Conference Center (just east of the Beltline) parking lot and walk in (approximately 1/3 mile) from the Start/Finish. The access gate between the Prince Conference Center and course will not be open for vehicles. Additional parking is available at Church of the Servant CRC on Burton (just west of East Paris).
