What has been your most memorable experience on Calvin's track team?
"My most memorable moment on the track team at Calvin was either seeing Annie Vanderlaan ['03 Heptathlon National Champion] finishing the 800 meters in the heptathlon at nationals in 2003, or Ben Talsma running the 400 meters at the decathlon at Hillsdale. I have never seen races with heart such as those that the competitors can barely finish the race because they gave it their all."

Why did you decide to attend Calvin College?
"I had to choose between Calvin College and Western Michigan University and both had benefits. I was unsure and so I prayed for guidance from the Lord, flipped a coin, and it came up tails, and the decision was made to go to Calvin."
