CALVIN SAAC TEAM SPONSORS BUDDY DAY WITH RIDGE PARK CHARTER ACADEMY STUDENTS

The Calvin baseball teamwas cheered on by a large group of third grade students from Ridge Park Charter Academy. Students were led by student-athletes from several Calvin athletic teams and were treated to dinner by Calvin athletes and were given t-shirts to help remember the occasion. After the game, the Ridge Park students were treated to autographs from the Calvin baseball players and the opportunity to pitch from the Calvin mound and run the bases.

The "Bring A Buddy to the Game" day was sponsored by the Calvin Student Athletic Advisory Council (SAAC) and was made possible in part to a grant from the NCAA intended to promote diversity and give young students a chance to experience a college campus.
