Applicant Information

Who may Apply
We seek scholars, especially those at early career stages, committed to pursuing scholarly work in areas of cognitive science of religion that have particular bearing on some aspect of Christianity (for example, on its history, evolution, social structures, spread, beliefs, practices, institutions, theology, and so forth).  Applicants may be from any relevant disciplinary or interdisciplinary background including (but not limited to): anthropology, archaeology, artificial intelligence, history, neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, religious studies, and theology.

How to Apply
To apply, an application will consist of:

  1. a curriculum vitae or resume
  2. a 1-3 page statement of interest in the area including a preliminary sketch of a proposed research project in the area
  3. names and contact information of at least two (2) personal references (letters of recommendation are not needed)

You will receive an email confirmation within 10 days of submitting your complete application. If you do not hear from us, please call us to determine whether your complete application has been received.

The application deadline is February 4, 2011. Participants will be selected after the application deadline. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of their status by February 18, 2011.
