July 13 - 24, 2009

Applicant Information

Who May Apply
Participants must be engaged in full-time teaching, research, ministry, writing, or editing in a worship-related field. The seminar would work best with 10-15 participants, comprised of scholars and pastors from a variety of Christian traditions. The scholars could conceivably come from a one of several disciplines that inform worship studies: liturgy, theology, music, art, history, cultural anthropology, drama, etc. A few participants could well be selected from interested journalists, publishers, non-profit organization program leaders and others whose work forms the imagination of contemporary Christians.

To apply, an applicant must submit the following:

  • this application form
  • a curriculum vitae or resume
  • a statement of how this seminar engages one's vocation
  • a proposal for the specific teaching opportunity or writing project that would be directly shaped by this seminar

The CV/resume, statement of interest, and proposal must be sent as separate Word document attachments to seminars@calvin.edu with "Taste and See" in the subject line, and the applicant's name in the body of the email.

You will receive an email confirmation within 10 days of submitting your complete application. If you do not hear from us, please call us to determine whether your complete application has been received.

The application deadline is January 30, 2009. Participants will be selected after the application deadline. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of their status by March 1, 2009.
