Grand Rapids Attractions & Information
Less than an hour away from the beaches of Lake Michigan, Grand Rapids is home to 600,000 - the second largest city in Michigan. Beaches, Parks & Gardens:
Frederick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is a nationally acclaimed botanical garden and home of Leonardo da Vinci's Horse
Blandford Nature Center
Grand Rapids City Parks
Several beaches are located on Lake Michigan within an hour or more of Grand Rapids

Sports & Recreation:
Kent Trails, a 15 mile bike trail, is located across town
Robinette's, located 15-20 minutes away, offers a 5-mile mountain bike course as well as orchards where you can pick seasonal fruits
West Michigan Whitecaps is the area's professional minor league baseball team
AMF Eastbrook Lanes is a bowling center a 25 minute walk away from Calvin's campus
Several golf courses are located in and around Grand Rapids

Museums & the Arts:
Gerald R. Ford Museum
Public Museum of Grand Rapids
The Heritage Hill District includes the Voigt House Victorian Museum and Frank Lloyd Wright's Meyer May House
Grand Rapids Art Museum
The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts offers a unique exposure to visual arts, music, film, literature, dance, and performance art
Wealthy Theatre offers unique community events that include films, drama, dances, and lectures
Picnic Pops - listen to the Grand Rapids Symphony in the open air with a picnic dinner

Malls & Theatres:
Woodland Mall and Centerpointe Mall are both within a 25 minute walk of Calvin's campus.
Woodland Mall has a Celebration Cinema movie theatre with a $3.50 for all seats - all shows policy
