CLASS NOTES:

Tim Bickhart '92 recently received the Teacher of the Year award from the News of Delaware County (Pa.). He has taught fifth grade at Chatham Park Elementary school in Haverford, Pa., for eight years. Tim also was assistant track coach and conducts a "voluntary literary club" during lunchtime for students to discuss literature.

Dale DeWeerd '90 is a fourth grade teacher at Ripon Christian School in California.

Brent DeWeerd '91 is an engineer for Whirlpool Corp. He lives in St. Joseph, Mich.

John Van Essen '90
is a Chicago-based pilot for United Airlines, serving as a first officer on a United 747.

Michael DeWeerd '93 and Carol Kamerman DeWeerd '94 have completed their family practice residencies and have joined a medical practice in Fremont, Mich.

Lisa Bushouse Cooper '91 was recently awarded the Gung Ho Sales Award and the Gung Ho Recruiter Award at the national conference of Tastefully Simple, a direct sales company featuring convenience gourmet foods and gift packs. She lives in Orland Park, Ill.

Kimberly DeWeerd '96 is a bilingual teacher at Stocking Elementary School in Grand Rapids.

Cynthia Timberlake Von Heyst '99 lives in Tampa, Fla., where her husband is a police officer, but she works in New York City as part of a two-and-a-half-year leadership development program with Citigroup. Cynthia's specialty is international business, mostly in Latin America, "making use of my double Spanish and business majors," she writes.

Matt Rottman '94 is a sales representative at AK Steel Corporation. His wife, Sarah Snoeyink Rottman '95, is finishing a degree in physical therapy at Oakland University. They live in Waterford, Mich.
