Bosma deserves award
Bette Bosma is indeed most deserving of receiving the
Faith and Learning Award (Summer 2002). As an education student (I am
now teaching elementary school in a local Christian school), I witnessed
first-hand Bette's fine ability to weave a Christian perspective into
her teaching. She was a wonderful role model and is a professor about
whom I have very warm memories. Thanks, Bette, for touching and molding
my life at Calvin.

Calvin enters the world
My husband, Brent VanZwaluwenburg '94, his dad and I literally
helped pull a calf out into the world when his mother had given up trying.
Because the calf is a beautiful maroon dutch belt, and because it took
two Calvin grads to get him out, we decided to call him, what else, but
Calvin.
