Calvin students scrubbed the steps of the Hall of Jusice in Grand Rapids following the September rally by the Ku Klux Klan. It was done as a symbolic gesture of cleansing and renewing. "We didn't want to meet violence with violence," said Neely Nelson, a junior from St. Louis, who helped organize students.
