Chaos Day

Since 1969 dorm residents have marked the beginning of the school year by marching out onto the athletic field for Chaos Day. The seven dorms compete in events like tug of war and human ring toss.

L.O.F.T.

Every Sunday evening the Calvin community has the opportunity to come together for L.O.F.T. -- Living Our Faith Together. L.O.F.T. is a contemporary service with a sense of history, led by a team of students and local preachers.

Faith & International Development Conference 2008

For the past three years Calvin has hosted the completely student-run Faith & International Development Conference. This year's conference - "Sustainability: Fruit that Lasts" - brought in speakers from around the world and drew record numbers to campus.

Cold Knight Club

Every February during Homecoming a group of daredevil students take their place in the Cold Knight Club, jumping through ice into the frigid Calvin Sem Pond.

Bunker Interpretive Center

Calvin’s Bunker Interpretive Center is one of only two facilities of higher education to receive a LEED Gold rating. The Center is surrounded by a 90-acre ecosystem preserve.

Hekman Library

The only time of year you'll find food, flying objects, and yelling in the library is during the Hekman Library's annual Frisbee Golf Tournament. Two-person teams work their way through the 18-hole course located throughout the library's five floors.

Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex

The new Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex will include a new health and recreation center, track and tennis center, aquatic center, and a 5,000 seat arena, as well as a renovation of the existing athletic facilities.
