What was your high school/secondary school like?
I went to a Catholic high school. Very disciplined, very black and white.

How did you hear about Calvin College?
My father went to Calvin Theological Seminary.

Out of thousands of schools in the U.S., why Calvin?
I was looking for a Christian university that would teach me how to live in the world. Some other Christian colleges were too conservative and some were too liberal. I think Calvin is a great median.

What's the best class you've taken, or the best professor you've had?
I took a gender studies class, a class with Prof. Bytwerk, a class on world culture, all great classes with great professors. I took the minimum number of classes required for my business major and took the rest of my classes from other departments. I don't think I would have been able to do that if I had not been at a liberal arts college.

What opportunities for spiritual growth did you participate in while at Calvin?
I loved the interaction with different students and professors. I learned that there are ideas that are not absolute; there is such an openness at Calvin to exchange different ideas.

What was your most memorable experience at Calvin?
Rangeela! A multicultural show put on by the international students. Trying to put on a great show while doing your normal course work is always fun. Putting 100 people together who are going through the same thing just makes it awesome.

What are you currently doing?
I work as an Even Coordinator at the Prince Conference Center.

How did Calvin College prepare you for your career of choice?
Calvin taught me that God is in everything we do. He is alive in our day to day activities.

What's your advice to future Calvin students?
Never be afraid to try something. Learning and studying is important but you will learn life skills from getting involved with organizations. The experience college offers is rarely available in the "real" world.
