Explore Musical theatre this summer at Calvin!

Calvin’s Musical Theatre workshop will enable young performers to learn the basic craft of auditioning, interpreting and performing excerpts of classic and contemporary musical theatre. Coaches in acting, singing and dance will guide you through a fun and exciting week of theatre.


Songs and Scenes

Each day, students will learn one facet of musical theatre performance culminating in a public performance. All campers are expected to perform on Friday evening from 7- 8:30 p.m.

Skills and topics

  • singing solos as well as singing in large and small ensemble numbers
  • interpreting and performing musical theatre numbers
  • acting techniques and acting with a partner
  • being a positive member of the ensemble on and off stage
