Chicago Job Fair
On Wednesday, October 24, 2012, Calvin’s career development office and the Calvin alumni association are sponsoring the inaugural Calvin in Chicago Career Fair. This event will bring Chicago area employers together with our excellently trained students and young alumni to discuss employment and internship opportunities.
Please encourage your son or daughter to take advantage of this career fair to meet Chicagoland organizations who are hiring interns and entry-level talent. Students can register and pay their $25 registration fee (which covers transportation and meals) online now.
In addition, if you are an employer or if you know of Chicago-area employers who are interested in recruiting Calvin students at this fair, please contact us at email@example.com.
Calvin offers a text-messaging service for students/community members to send a text-message to Campus Safety in situations where it may be difficult or dangerous to make a call. The address is firstname.lastname@example.org. The system is monitored 24 hours a day and Campus Safety will respond to any requests for assistance. Students are also encouraged to program the contact numbers for Campus Safety dispatch into their phone. The 24 hour non-emergency phone number is 616-526-6452. The 24-hour emergency phone number is 616-526-3333 or 3-3333 for campus phones. Students can anonymously report a crime to Campus Safety through Silent Observer.
And don't forget, vehicle registration is only $100 before September 4 (after September 4 it’s $125)!
January Series 2013!
January Series, a nationally-acclaimed noontime lecture series held on campus during interim, begins January 3, 2013. This year's speakers promise to entertain and educate us once again. The series also hits the road with remote webcast locations and typically offers a daily live webcast.
