Commencement breakfast
Chemistry professor Larry Louters, recipient of this year's Presidential Award for Exemplary Teaching, and his wife Mary Jo will be our speakers for the Breakfast for Parents of Graduates on Commencement Weekend, Saturday, May 19, at 9 a.m. The Louters have three children, all recent Calvin grads: Lauren '00, Jeremy ‘03 and Julienne ’10. Tickets ($15) are required and must be purchased in advance by May 11, 2012. The ticket order form was included in the Commencement letter mailed to parents in December; you can order tickets online now.
Commencement flowers
Celebrate your graduate with a bouquet from Crescent Floral and the Calvin campus store. You can pre-order or pick up three different arrangements: a spring bouquet ($25), one dozen roses ($35) or a half-dozen roses ($25). Tax is already included on all prices. Bouquets can be ordered online in advance via Crescent Floral and can be picked up at the flower station near the main (south) entrance to the Van Noord Arena on Commencement Saturday from 12:30 to 4:30.

Events
The Calvin Oratorio Society will present their spring concert, Haydn's The Seasons, Friday, April 27, 2012, 8 p.m. The Calvin Capella will be joining the Oratorio Chorus for this performance. A preconcert talk with Calvin Stapert will be held in the Covenant Fine Arts Center Recital Hall at 7 p.m. Tickets available from the Calvin College box office (616-526-6282).
