If you're starting Calvin in the interim or spring as a new first-year or transfer student, Transitions is for you. Interim students come to campus January 2 and 24-26, 2013. You — if you are beginning at Calvin for the spring semester. Transitions includes an afternoon of sessions designed for your adult family members for Interim students on January 2 and for Spring students on January 24, with the remainder of the program designed just for you.
If you are planning to live in the residence halls or Knollcrest East apartments, Interim students may move in January 2 between 11:00am and 2:00pm. Spring students may move in Thursday, January 24, between 2:00pm and 5:00pm
Upon arrival follow the road signs to the Covenant Fine Arts Center parking lot. Make your way to the Commons Annex Building where you'll:
All meals starting with lunch on Thursday through dinner on Saturday are provided.
Your Transitions program will be two parts. For Interim students, part I is January 2 from 3:15pm - 7:00pm with optional activites from 9:00pm-11:00pm. For Spring students, part I is January 24 from 10:30am-2:00pm. Part II for Interim and Spring is 2:00pm-5:00pm Thursday, January 24 through Saturday, January 26, 2013. This will include meeting with an advisor to confirm our schedule, our local StreetFest experience, as well as an overnight retreat off campus.
If you are planning to live in the residence halls or Knollcrest East apartments, Interim students may move in on Wednesday, January 2, between 11:00am-2:00pm or Thursday, January 24, between 2:00pm – 5:00pm

There is a charge for attending Transitions. The student registration fee is $250. Up to two adult family members may attend parent programming for free. The orientation fee will be added to your student account by the Financial Services Office in February. Please note that, if you attend both parts of the program, including StreetFest and the off-campus retreat, your account will be credited $100!
