About the trip
This trip with Outward Bound Costa Rica is a multi-element adventure that incorporates whitewater rafting, surf instruction, a visit to spectacular rainforest waterfall, a tour of an impressive volcano and a ziplining excursion. Begin the course by traveling to the La Fortuna region of Costa Rica where you will get to know an area known for its natural splendor. From there the group will enter the river portion of the course where you will experience class 3 and 4 rapids on beautiful rainforest rivers. Evenings will be spent with homestay families learning about Costa Rican culture and brushing up on your Spanish. Later this course heads to the beach! Swim in the waters of Manuel Antonio beach, try out surfing and enjoy the surrounding tropical rainforest which is a well-known conservation area. After some beach time, the group transfers back to our rainforest base. The course will wrap up with a ziplining tour and a visit to San Jose where you will visit a local museum and peruse an artisan market for souvenirs. PASSPORT REQUIRED
