Adult family members participate with their student in one of four summer orientation PASSPORT sessions with your student!
PASSPORT for families is a two-day summer program designed for you as an adult family member as well as your new student. Learn about Calvin through seminars and discussions that highlight the range of opportunities and services for your student.
If you're a family member of a student who is attending one of our Wilderness Orientation trips, you are encouraged to attend the on-campus PASSPORT session that corresponds to your student’s trip. However, the wilderness experience itself is just for your student!
At PASSPORT you will:
Residence hall option
When your student registers you to attend PASSPORT, he or she will also be able to register you for on-campus accommodations in a residence hall for parents only. Couples will be given a dorm suite while individual parents will share a suite with another same-gendered parent.
Please note there is no charge to stay in the residence hall for students or parents. However, choosing not to stay in the residence hall will not affect your PASSPORT cost.
Prince Conference Center option
The Prince Conference Center is also available for on-campus housing, offering a limited number of rooms for a fee. When calling to reserve a room, mention that you are with the PASSPORT program and you will receive a slight discount.
We are unable to offer residence hall housing for PASSPORT III. Please arrange for your own housing either with the Prince Conference Center or an off-campus option.
