Christina Edmondson, PhD
Christina began serving as Dean for Intercultural Student Development in August of 2013. She is responsible for overseeing the International Student Development Office & Multicultural Student Development Office. She guides the designing, implementing, & assessing of MSDO & ISDO programs that strengthen retention & flourishing among AHANA & International Students. She works with key internal & external partners to advocate for a racially & ethnically diverse campus community where all students feel a sense of belonging through intentional support, multicultural programming, anti-racism education & awareness, & Christ-centered intercultural engagement & reconciliation.
B.A. - Sociology (Emphasis on Class, Race, & Gender) - Hampton University
Linda began working with Calvin’s international students in 1994 as the International Student Adviser & English as Second Language (ESL) Instructor & now works as the Assistant Dean of International Student Development. She oversees the orientation program, teaches cross-cultural engagement classes, works with student leaders to provide a variety of programming throughout the year, & both counsels & advocates for international students. Linda lived overseas for 6 years— in Amman, Jordan & Freetown, Sierra Leone. After returning to the U.S. she taught ESL courses in several different contexts before coming to Calvin.
M.A. - Teaching - Calvin College
Esther worked as a graduate intern in the office since June 2011 and joined as staff in September of 2013. She works on programs such as orientation, mentoring, and Rangeela. She also works with students in training and guiding them in their leadership roles, as well as assisting Linda Bosch in advocating for international students at Calvin. Esther is Korean and lived in the DR Congo for 12 years.
B.S. – Biochemistry – Calvin College
Kieychia joined the Intercultural Student Development Team in January of 2014. She serves administrative support to the Dean of Intercultural Student Development Christina Edmondson.
