Fall activity classes (Session I: 9/14/15 – 10/30/15)

Class Description

If you are looking for an exercise class that will build strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, check out Yoga. Participants will be lead through classic yoga postures and exercises that will have you leaving class feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!

2015 Fall Session I: September 14 – October 30
  • Intermediate: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 6:45–7:30am, HC 300 – Dance Loft (Andre).
  • Beginner/Intermediate: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 12:00-12:45pm, HC 300 – Dance Loft (Andre).
  • Beginners: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 4:30–5:15pm, HC 300 Dance Loft (Andre).
Class Description

Biking with a group is usually easier than by yourself. This class adds motivating music and instruction as you bike up and down hills...sprint in and out of the saddle...and challenge yourself to pedal harder than you normally would on your rides outside. If you enjoy a challenge and want a good calorie burn, this class is a must to try!

Instructor Bios
Tai Chi
Class Description

The ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi consists of a series of gentle and rhythmic movements that incorporate breath coordination, muscle relaxation, and posture alignment. Tai Chi is recognized as a method of exercise that can help relieve chronic pain, tone muscles, enhance balance and coordination, help lower heart rate and blood pressure, and be beneficial for stress reduction!

2015 Fall Session I: September 14 – October 30
  • Mondays/Wednesdays, 4:45 – 5:30pm, HC 300 (John Jiang).
Class Description

WERQ is discribed on their website as a “fiercely fun dance fitness class based on pop, rock,
and hip hop music taught by Certified Fitness Professionals.” No dance experience is necessary.

Zumba is a high energy, Latin-inspired, dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance moves. No dance experience is necessary.

  • Tuesdays – WERQ; Thursdays – Zumba.
Exercise Ball & Band
Class Description

Balls and Bands is a total body workout. Exercise balls and resistance bands are used to strengthen and stretch your entire body. If your fitness goals include better posture, balance, flexibility and muscular strength, then this class is for you! All fitness levels are welcome.

Group Personal Training
Class Description

This class involves small, group personal training tailored to fit the needs of the group, as well as the individual. Class size is limited to 5 individuals. Training will inlcude cario, strength training, flexibility and core work. This class is open to all experience and fitness levels. This class meets once a week for an hour, but you can sign up for more than one session.
