Saturn, Steve VanNoord

This is a picture of the seconds largest planet, Saturn. It was first viewed by Galileo with a telescope in 1610. The planet is very interesting with its rings and thirty two moons. The largest moon, Titan has been the subject of much research. Because of all its rings and moons Saturn is one the more popular planets to photograph. Saturn was the only planet known to have ring until 1977.

Saturn is a planet that is very colorful. The rings consist of different shades of yellow, tan, and white. The planet itself contains yellow, brown, pink, blues, and others. The diameter across the equator is 120,536 km. It is made up of hydrogen, with a rocky core. It is a wonderful sight to see and it shows God's awesome power.
