Charis Bio - Emmanuel Garibay

Emmanuel Garibay was born in Kidapawan, Cotabato, Philippines in 1962. He earned his B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines and his M.A. in Divinity from the Union Theological Seminary. He has received awards from the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Arts Association of the Philippines, and Il Bienal del Baloncestoen Bellas Artes in Madrid, Spain. Garibay has held solo exhibitions in throughout the Philippines and in the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel and Indonesia. Currently, he is President of the Asian Christian Art Association (ACAA).

CHARIS at the International Forum for Christian Higher Education on Critical Breakthrough
in Atlanta, Georgia

This conference of 1200 leaders in Christian Higher Education includes a session with CHARIS artists, a media presentation of the exhibit and onsite presentation of a portion of the artwork followed by a lunch reception at Columbia Theological Seminary in nearby Decatur to view the rest of the CHARIS exhibit.
