The Nagel Institute - Projects: Global Christian Higher Education

Global Christian Higher Education Project

This collaborative research project compiled a database with information about Christian colleges and universities from all over the world, speci-fically, information such as contact information, (address, phone, e-mail, and web address) as well as when the institution began, denominational affiliation, enrollment, courses of study, and language of instruction.

Data sorted by region

Project results are organized in seven categories: Africa, Asia, Europe & Russia, Latin America, Middle East, Oceania, North America.

The IAPCHE website features a list (under the Research tab) of all Christian colleges and universities that are in the database, as well as multiple ways to download the data.

Initial findings

In August, the prestigious journal Higher Education: The Interna-tional Journal of Higher Education Research published initial results. “Looking for God in the University: examining trends in Christian higher education, appeared in Vol. 61, Issue 6 (2011), pages 721-755. The paper is also available electronically.
