- The Hekman Library provides access to the Federal Depository Library Program
(FDLP) Electronic Collection to all users of the library, which includes residents
in the Third Congressional District as well as members of the Calvin academic
community.
- Use of the FDLP Electronic Collection is free and unrestricted on the computers
in the Digital Research Center. In most cases time limits and sign-up sheets
are unnecessary, but time limits may be imposed if there is an unusually high
demand.
- The workstations in the Digital Research Center are not filtered.
- Users are not required to sign in or present identification.
- Users of the Digital Research Center are require to abide by the librarys
Responsible Use of Library Computers policy, which is in compliance
with the colleges Responsible Use of Technology document.
- The Hekman Library currently does not charge for printing. Free diskettes
are not provided to any users.
- Access to computers in the Digital Research Center is unmediated, although
help is available at the nearby Reference Desk.
