Christian Schooling in Southern Africa

Mr. Samson Makhado from South Africa will speak on the topic of the challenges facing the mushrooming Christian schools in southern Africa. He will approach this through his own experience in teaching, being a principal, setting up schools, as well as through his current position as ACSI Regional Director of Southern Africa. Makhado is heavily involved in transformation in the new South Africa.

This open lecture for faculty and students will be held in the Commons Annex lecture hall on Wednesday, September 21, at 7:00 p.m. It is cosponsored by the Calvin College education department, the ASCD student chapter, the Dean for Multicultural Affairs, the African and African Diaspora Studies minor, and the Kuyers Institute.
