Calvin College, with support from Christian Schools International, CSI Michigan Region Administrators, and the Kuyers Institute, is hosting a Board Leadership Workshop on Friday, September 30, and Saturday, October 1. This board leadership workshop is designed for board members and administrators in faith-based schools. Schools are encouraged to bring teams of board members and administrators.
This workshop will take place on the Calvin College campus, beginning on Friday night at 7:00 pm with a keynote address by Calvin College President, Dr. Gaylen Byker, followed by a panel discussion. The workshops continue on Saturday morning with a variety of sectionals on topics related to effective boards such as policy governance, board selection, board training and accountability, boards and the planning process, effective meetings, and relationships between boards and administrators. The workshop will conclude with lunch.
For those who need lodging, arrangements have been made for guests to stay at the Comfort Inn Airport (616-957-2080).
