Workshop for Curriculum Coordinators, June 20-24, 2005
|
|
| John Shortt |
During the week of June 20–24, 2005, the Kuyers Institute will be hosting a workshop entitled "Spiritual and Moral Development Across the Curriculum" on the campus of Calvin College.
This curriculum consultation is aimed at two groups of people:
- teachers with responsibility for curriculum at the middle and high school level
- education faculty who have an interest in curriculum development at that level
It will examine ways in which a Christian concern for the spiritual and moral development of students can inform the design of teaching and learning across the school curriculum. The leader, Dr. John Shortt, brings extensive experience in this area from his role as director of the innovative Charis curriculum project. The workshop will run for one week, and a one-day open event for local teachers is planned for the conclusion.
The Calvin graduate studies program is
assisting with this workshop by offering two
graduate credit hours to interested participants. More information can be found at
their webpage. |
