The January 2008 meeting of the "Strengthening the Heartbeat" project focused on Ackerman & Maslin-Ostrowski, The Wounded Leader: How Real Leadership Emerges in Times of Crisis (San Francisco, Jossey-Bass, 2002) (a study guide for this book, written by Bruce Hekman, is available). To complement this book, presentations were given by Jim DeKorne (Vice President of School Services, Christian Schools International) and Dr. Mary Hulst (Assistant Professor of Preaching, Calvin Theological Seminary).
