Worldwide Christian Schools

The Kuyers Institute recently funded a project with Worldwide Christian Schools to create video material to assist a school improvement program underway in Nicaragua. Many Christian schools in Nicaragua are started with the aim of evangelism and can lack a broad understanding of or vision for education. The Centro Nehemias, a Nicaraguan ministry for improving education in Nicaraguan schools, has created a school improvement process to help schools think through their processes and structures, and has faced the challenge of disseminating this effectively to schools across the region. A talented Calvin student and a professor of Communication Arts and Sciences at Calvin College traveled to Managua in January 2006 with film equipment and worked with Daniel Aragon of the Centro Nehemias to create a short, Spanish-language documentary introduction to the program that he has developed.
