What has music to do with God? Why do so many people turn to music for "spiritual"
refreshment, using music from New Age to trip-hop to medieval chant? This
presentation explores some of the ways in which music works in our lives and
offers reasons why music so often brings people closer to God. Slides, recorded
music and demonstrations at the piano assist in answering the question of
what music has to do with God. Jeremy Begbie is a widely published author,
a noted performer of Mozart and is Vice Principal of Ridley Hall, Cambridge,
England, and Lecturer of the Faculty of Divinity, Cambridge University.
