Student Receptionist

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provides support to the Information Technology staff by answering all incoming phone lines and assisting walk-ins at the front counter. Other support functions as needed.

 

REPORTS TO:

CIT Department Assistant

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Answer and transfer phone calls and voicemail

•  Assist walk-ins at the front counter

•  Keep track of staff and students in/out during the day

•  Distribute mail

•  Assist with managing office supplies through Corporate Express

•  Support staff with copying, word processing, and faxing

•  Manage print jobs from printer and file appropriately

•  Manage training class enrollees

•  Process faxes

•  Provide assistance to HelpDesk in processing dial-up applications

•  Assist Take I.T. Home applicants

•  Schedule CIT conference rooms

 

WAGES:

Student wage rate level B ($5.30-$6.80)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

•  Strong interpersonal communications skills

•  Good organizational skills

•  Excellent phone skills

•  Ability to handle and organize multiple tasks
