Although there are a number of steps to getting your PC connected to Calvin Wireless, you only need to complete these steps once. Note: Your wireless card must support the Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration service. We are unable to support other third party wireless configuration software, and cannot guarantee it will work on Calvin Wireless. If you have third party wireless configuration software, please disable it and have Windows configure your wireless settings. These instructions are for Windows XP SP2 (Windows Vista instructions can be found here). Other OS versions are not supported on the Calvin Wireless network. Step 1 1. Right-click on the wireless card connection icon in the system tray.
Step 2 1. Click on Change advanced settings.
Step 3 1. On the General tab, confirm that Show icon in notification area when connected is checked at the bottom of the box.
Step 4 1. Select the Wireless Networks tab. If you do not have this tab, make sure all other wireless configuration software is removed by going to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Step 5 1. Once calvin_wireless_setup has been removed, click Add.
Step 6 1.
Click on the Authentication tab.
Step 7 1. Confirm Validate server certificate box is checked.
Step 8 1. Uncheck Automatically use my Windows name and password (and domain if any).
Step 9 1. Click OK for all remaining open windows.
At this time, your network card should authenticate and acquire a network address. You will see another yellow Wireless Network Connection pop-up balloon that says you are connected to Calvin Wireless. Having difficulty connecting to Calvin Wireless?
