What you need to know
about Student Novell Accounts
Personal Novell accounts are provided to each Calvin student
as a location to store academic and course-related documents and
personal files.
- When your students receive their Novell account they need to
activate
their account. They can do this from most computers in your department.
- If you want them to have access to your department's common drive (G:\) or web drive (W:) you need to
Request additional access for current faculty, staff, or students who have accounts.
Note: Although most faculty/staff see the common drive as g:\ , students
will see the drive as h:\ or another letter.
- If students have access to your department's common drive and/or web drive it
is very important that you request this acess be removed
when the student leaves your department. Remove Access for a Student Employee
- Students have disk space limits on their home drive. Work-related
material should be stored in your department's common drive.
- If your student(s) have access to your department's common
drive they only have access from Calvin-owned computers on-campus.
They do not have access via the internet (NetStorage).
- Before the student(s) leave your department they should log off
the computer by selecting Start > Shut Down > Log
Off or Start > Log Off depending
on how Windows is setup on that computer.

Printing for Student
