The Nextel contract is a shared minutes plan. The plan includes the following features per month:
- 10,800 airtime minutes shared between all Calvin College Nextel users.
- No Roaming within the continental U.S. International rates are at Nextel's website.
- 250 Direct Connect minutes per phone ($0.20/min) within the state of Michigan.
- Text Messaging is $0.15/message.

- 3-Way Calling
- Free Nights and Weekends - 9:01 p.m. until 5:59 a.m.
