Connecting your iPhone or iPod Touch to Calvin's network

The CIT HelpDesk provides support for wireless connectivity to Windows and Mac computers only
at thiPhoneis time. To connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to the wireless network, please follow these online instructions for configuration.

Please note: You must be running iPhone/iPod 2.0 software update

1. From the Main Menu, click on Settings.

2. Click on Wi-Fi.

3. Select CalvinStudents or CalvinWireless for faculty and staff..

4. Type in your KnighVision username and passphrase and click Join.

5. Click Accept when the Certificate screen appears.

**You may have to wait up to 2-3 minutes, then click the Main Menu button for it to Accept.

6. Repeat steps 1-4, you should be connected to CalvinStudents or CalvinWireless at this point.

**Once you are connected, you can click on the arrow next to CalvinStudents or CalvinWireless (from the Wi-Fi menu) and find your IP address. It should start with 10.3.xxx.xxx. If it says 169.xxx.xxx.xxx then try turning the iPhone/iPod off and then turning it back on.

STUDENTS ONLY:

  1. Go to the Main Menu and start Safari, you should be taken to the Calvin Network registration pages.
  2. 8. Enter your KnightVision username and passphrase, select iPhone/iPod Touch as the device, and click Login.
  3. 9. Your iPhone/iPod is registered! If you have trouble getting on the Internet, try restarting the device.
