Connecting to ResNet

Signing up

You will not be able to register for ResNet until you arrive on campus either for Passport or at the beginning of the semester. Once you are here, plug your computer into the data jack on the wall of your room using a CAT5 Ethernet cable. Open any Web browser and you will be automatically directed to the sign up pages for further instructions.

If you have trouble registering for ResNet when you first move in, please note at the bottom of the sign up pages the times and locations of where you can get help.

Students must register for ResNet each academic semester. By registering your computer on ResNet you are agreeing to Calvin's Policy on Responsible Use of Technology. Please familiarize yourself with this policy.


Connecting to ResNet

  1. Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements
    (Computers without the minimum system requirements will not be able to register their computer).
  2. Make sure your network interface card (NIC) is properly installed.
  3. Plug your computer into a port using a Category 5 Ethernet cable.
  4. Open your preferred Web browser.
  5. Log in using your Calvin username and passphrase.
  6. Complete the registration and scanning process.
  7. Restart your computer.
