KnightVision Overview

KnightVision is Calvin’s eCommunity, an online environment that brings together academic communities, announcements, social activities, student discussion boards, student organizations, course registration, course material, and more in an easy-to-use format.

KnightVision tabs

My Calvin	Your My Calvin page includes all your personal KnightVision information (courses taught, courses being taken, calendar, etc.). You can customize what appears on this tab.
Content	Provides access to the Content System
Favorites	This tab has been added for you to customize with your favorite modules.
KV Courses	All semester courses have a course in KnightVision. Not all faculty use KnightVision and some choose not to make their course available to students. Owners of courses can control the content How do I? Students in courses can see content made available by the "owners"
Community	Calvin organizations in which you are participating or are managing are listed in the Community area. Owners of organizations can control the content How do I? Members of organizations can see content made available by the "owners" Request a KnightVision Organization Institutional discussion boards ArtMind Calvin eDeals Advertise your items for sale, used textbooks, items wanted, places for rent, homes for sale, etc. to the Calvin community. Ride Board - for off-campus needs Need a ride somewhere off-campus? Offering a ride? Post it here. These are for rides off-campus. Car pooling to/from Calvin Need a ride to/from campus? Are you willing to pickup/drop off other Calvin employees/students? Post your regular car pooling needs here. FOR CAR POOLING to/from Calvin. Bible Studies & Prayer Groups If you're looking for a way to get connected, or would like to add members to your group... Here's a way to post what you're offering or what you're looking for. All Around Town Check here for postings of local happenings and events. Post an event here that you'd like the Calvin community to know about! All around campus Check to see who's coming or going, what's lost or found, as well as chat about some important topics.
Resources	Resources, such as access to online course registration, class schedule, grades and transcripts, and payroll information are offered to you on the My Resources tab. Some resources require an additional login using your KnightVision passphrase. The modules you see on the Resources tab are customized based on your role at Calvin.
Library	Links to the Hekman Library
Blogs & Wikis	Faculty, staff, and students are now able to create their own blogs, wikis, and podcasts within KnightVision. These sites are private by default, but can be also be shared with others at Calvin or made public. Please note that these tools are also available within courses and organizations making setup and sharing easier.
