Faculty & Staff Email: Mobile Settings



  1. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts > Add Account...
  2. Choose Microsoft Exchange
  3. Type in Email address, passphrase, and desired account Description (Calvin, Exchange, Office 365, Work Email, etc.) and click Next
  4. Choose which items to sync (leave everything on for most users)
  5. After account is added, choose the account from the Accounts list in Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    • You can set Mail Days to Sync to a larger interval (default is 3 Days) - recommend No Limit or 1 Month for most users
    • If desired, choose other Mail Folders to Push (by default, this is set to just the Inbox, which should be fine for most users)


  1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Corporate > Account Settings > Add Account
  2. Choose Corporate (or Microsoft Exchange Active Sync)
  3. Enter Email Address and Passphrase (you can also select whether you want to send email from this account by default - for most users this will be their only Corporate account so this is a non-issue)
  4. On the next screen, you will see advanced settings. They should be set as follows:
    1. Doman\Username: Email Address (note: on some phones it enters the username and removes the, make sure to use your full email address)

    3. Use secure connection (SSL) should be checked
  5. Choose advanced sync settings on next screen (defaults should be okay for most users)
  6. You will be asked if you want to activate device administrator. Click Activate to continue.
  7. Name the account (Calvin, Exchange, Office 365, Work Email, etc.) - this is optional, but recommended to avoid confusion
