Calvin's Spam Firewall

Barracuda Spam Firewall blocks much of the spam e-mail before it is sent to your e-mail address using several spam blocking algorithms. It currently is blocking approximately 80% of all incoming e-mail because it identifies it as spam or as containing viruses.

The default settings of the firewall should be sufficient for most users, but you should not expect to have zero spam. You should not change the settings as long as you spend less than 15 minutes a day handling spam, as you may inadvertently block important messages. If you find yourself spending more time than that, you have two options:

  1. The rules and features in your e-mail program, such as Outlook’s Junk Mail Handling feature
  2. An account through Barracuda Spam Firewall that allows you to personalize your settings. Please be cautious changing any of your spam settings.
