Below are several technology vendors offering you discounts on your personal technology hardware and software purchases.

Apple Computer, Inc.

Calvin's partnership with Apple provides Calvin faculty, staff, and students discounts from both their local Apple store and online.

    Sun: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Receive education discounts on qualifying Apple hardware and software* with your Calvin-ID and Drivers License.
  • *Select Apple software titles are available at an approximate discount of 10% at the retail store. Larger discounts may be available online and certain Apple software titles must be purchased through the Apple Store online to receive your education discount. Visit store for details.

CDW-G has partnered with Calvin College to provide Calvin faculty, staff, and students special pricing on computers, accessories and other office equipment through their on-line catalog.

If you have your CDW-G purchase delivered to Calvin, you'll receive free shipping.


Dell Education Personal Purchase Program

Calvin is part of the Dell Education Personal Purchase Program (EPP) that gives Calvin employees and students discounts for Dell purchases.

Cell Phone discounts

VERIZON

Calvin faculty staff and students.

For Verizon customers:   The contract provides an 18% discount on personal lines of service for Calvin employees only   The account must be under the employee’s name, and you must have a valid Calvin email address.  To activate this discount please copy/paste the following URL to your browser: www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/employee/emaildomainauthentication.jsp. Enter 49546 for the billing zip code.   The next screen should request your Calvin email address.  You must use your Calvin email address.  You will then receive an email containing a link to update your discount.  Open the email, click on or copy/paste that link to your browser.  Follow the instructions.  Some accounts have been automatically updated.  You may receive the message:  “No changes made”.

For Alltel customers:  In order to get the discount you must convert to a Verizon phone and rate plan.  Verizon is discontinuing Alltel phones and rate plans.   As long as you have a working Alltel phone, you can stay on your Alltel rate plan, but you will not get the Calvin discount.

SPRINT/NEXTEL

Microsoft Software for Faculty and Staff

Calvin faculty and staff have two online purchasing options for Microsoft software. They may purchase through the Microsoft Home Use program or from On the Hub.

Microsoft Home Use Program

Current Calvin faculty and staff are now eligible to participate in Microsoft's Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP). This program enables you to get a licensed copy of most Microsoft® Office desktop PC (Mac and Windows) applications to install and use on your home computer for your personal use.

What is On the Hub?

On the Hub is an online store hosted by e-academy where faculty, staff, and students may go to purchase Microsoft and other titles. You must be a member of an academic institution to qualify for ordering academically discounted software. The academic software discounts offered on this WebStore are not for the general public. You will be requested to provide proof of your academic affiliation during the registration process in order to take advantage of the academic pricing available for students and educators.
