Desktop Services: Calvin's Personal Technology Purchase Programs

Calvin CIT works with various technology vendors to offer you discounts on your personal technology hardware and software purchases.

We currently have partnerships with:

Apple Computer, Inc.

Calvin's partnership with Apple provides Calvin faculty, staff, and students discounts from both their local Apple store and online.

  • When you can't wait to have it.
    Store Hours: Mon - Sat: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    Sun: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Receive education discounts on qualifying Apple hardware and software* with your Calvin-ID and Drivers License.
  • *Select Apple software titles are available at an approximate discount of 10% at the retail store. Larger discounts may be available online and certain Apple software titles must be purchased through the Apple Store online to receive your education discount. Visit store for details.

CDW-G (Computer Discount Warehouse)

CDW-G has partnered with Calvin College to provide Calvin faculty, staff, and students special pricing on computers, accessories and other office equipment through their on-line catalog.

If you have your CDW-G purchase delivered to Calvin, you'll receive free shipping.

Dell Education Personal Purchase Program

Calvin is part of the Dell Education Personal Purchase Program (EPP) that gives Calvin employees and students discounts for Dell purchases.

Cell Phone discounts

Verizon and Sprint/Nextell both give discounts to Calvin College employees. Please mention you are a Calvin employee when making a purchase from these companies.

Microsoft

NOTE: All support regarding the Home Use Program and Ultimate Steal are handled by Microsoft and not CIT. All questions and support issues need to be handled using their FAQ's or Customer Support options (found on their respective sites).

The Home Use Program: Faculty and Staff

Current Calvin faculty and staff are now eligible to participate in Microsoft's Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP). This program enables you to get a licensed copy of most Microsoft® Office desktop PC (Mac and Windows) applications to install and use on your home computer
