CIT inventory of all Calvin-owned computer equipment

Each year CIT performs an inventory of all Calvin-owned computer equipment. This year's inventory will begin the week of December 7, 2009 and continue into January until it is complete.

We are starting early this year because we want to get most of the the inventory completed before Christmas break.

We will NOT be conducting inventory during the Christmas break when the campus is closed.

During the inventory CIT staff and students will be coming to all offices and scanningBar coded tag the bar-coded asset sticker on Calvin-owned computer equipment. We will not turn on any equipment or login to your computer. The inventory process only takes a few seconds per piece of equipment. If you are in your office when a CIT representative comes to take inventory please allow them to scan your equipment. We are using wireless scanners this year so it speeds up the process and make it less intrusive if you are sitting at your desk.

  • If you have personally owned computer equipment in your office please put a sticky note on it so we know not to look for an asset sticker.
  • If you have a laptop that will not be in your office during this time please contact Michael Haan so inventory information can be collected.
