Special Notes
CIT does not have the ability to create or activate accounts for individuals unless specifically noted. The accounts one receives are automatically activated and deactivated depending on one's affiliation with the college. Below is a table containing a list of possible affiliations and what account access is included. Human Resources controlls affiliation for staff, the Provost Office for faculty, and Academic Services (Registrar's Office) for students.
Admitted students have limited access. Once an admitted student has paid their deposit, he or she will have access to the Novell and Portal accounts.
Emeriti and Retiree phone and voice mail service has to be requested by the head of the department for which they are teaching. To request this service, please contact the HelpDesk at x6-8555 or helpdesk@calvin.edu.
Alumni do not have access to CIT services (graduates maintain access until October 1st following graduation). Alumni can access the uKnight community through the Alumni Office and Calvin Link job and internship postings through the Career Development office. Graduates and alumni, click here for more information.
Ex-students (students who have not graduated and are not currently enrolled) are not able to request that CIT maintain their accounts and access. Accounts are removed 30 days following one's departure from Calvin. A student's status with the college can only be altered by the Academic Services department.
