KV users: The Digital Dropbox is going away
At the end of the summer, CIT will be removing the Digital Dropbox feature from KnightVision. Blackboard has been phasing out support for this tool and instead has promoted the Assignment feature.
The Assignment feature, which facilities and organizes electronic submission of files from your students, is a more robust and reliable alternative to the Digital Dropbox.
Benefits and features include:
- Better organization: files are organized and named by assignment, rather than all in one folder, and can be downloaded individually or all at once.
- Integration with the Grade Center: grade columns are created automatically and files can be downloaded and graded from within the Grade Center.
- More feedback: instructors can send feedback to students along with their grade and can also record notes for themselves while grading.
- Less Confusion: file submission has been simplified and students now upload files from the same page as the assignment description.
The Assignment feature is already available in KnightVision. To learn more, watch this short training video or attend one of the upcoming LunchBytes on the Assignment feature.
