Resources for Alumni & Visitors

Calvin Information Technology provides computing, printing, telephone and
cable television services to the Calvin College community.

There are four Windows computers located in the Information Technology Center (ITC) available for alumni use. These computers are provided for personal use only and may not be used for business related purposes, either profit or non-profit. Failure to follow this policy can result in the loss of computer access permanently.

These four computers are available for alumni, except for the four weeks prior to the end of classes, during exam week and during the last four days of Interim. If at any time all four computers are in use, the alumnus will be asked to wait until one of them is available. At any time, should a current Calvin College student, faculty or staff member require the use of an alumni computer because no other computers are available, the alumnus will be asked to relinquish his/her computer.

Since much of the software installed in the ITC is strictly licensed for educational purposes only, we can only issue main lab computers to current Calvin faculty, staff and students. All computer usage must follow Calvin's Policy on Responsible Use of Technology .

Visitors to our Campus

Each of the seven residence hall complexes and four of the apartment buildings have computer labs. Each of these labs has eight Windows computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office. Visitors staying in the residence halls or apartments have access to these labs, but only if arrangements are made in advance.

Wireless Internet access: Guest wireless access is available almost everywhere on campus.

Conference Guests

Arrangements can be made in advance for Calvin conference guests to gain temporary access to Calvin computers. Please direct questions and requests to the person who arranged or is hosting your conference.
